LikeME Doll Company was born from a simple but powerful belief: every little girl deserves to see herself reflected in the beauty, joy, and possibilities around her. Because representation matters.
Founded by Carla Kemp and her daughters, Merin Woodlon, Micarie Brewer, and Candice Kemp, LikeME Doll Company is a family-founded brand inspired by the women and girls closest to our hearts.
As a family of proud, loc'd women, we understand the importance of seeing yourself celebrated—not changed, hidden, or asked to fit into someone else’s idea of beauty. We wanted to create dolls that looked like our own children and grandchildren: dolls with beautiful brown skin, unique features, natural hair, and locs. Dolls that would make little girls look at them and say, “She looks like me.”
It Started With a Doll
The idea for LikeME Doll Company came to life during the pandemic. In a time when the world felt uncertain and families were spending more time together, we began dreaming about what it would mean to create something that could inspire the next generation.
It started with one doll.
That doll became a reminder of the power of representation—and a reflection of the girls we loved. What began as a family idea grew into a bigger mission: to encourage young girls to love who they are, express themselves freely, and live unapologetically.
Today, LikeME has grown beyond dolls to include apparel, jewelry, accessories, and merchandise designed to serve as everyday reminders of confidence, individuality, and self-love.

And most importantly, they don't have to change who they are to belong.
